Weekly Update - 10/23/26

Hi! Here’s this week’s Market Weekly. I hope your week went well and that you have a great weekend.

Mortgage markets had another good week, with investors moving into safer investments like bonds, helping mortgage rates move lower. Home sales picked up a bit, and the median home price reached a record $417,500. Inventory is improving, but the market is still short on homes. The Big Picture: Mortgage rates remain volatile as investors watch inflation, the economy, Fed comments, and global events.

Looking ahead, markets will continue watching the Middle East and oil prices. The Fed meets Wednesday, with no rate change expected. We’ll also get a few key economic reports later in the week that could influence markets and mortgage rates.
