Weekly Update - 10/30/26
Hello! Here’s this week’s Market Weekly. I hope you had a great week and have a fun Halloween weekend!
It was another good week for mortgage markets, with investors moving money into safer investments and helping push mortgage rates lower. The Fed left rates unchanged, but inflation is still a concern, and most investors expect a rate increase at the December meeting. The economy is still holding up well, with consumers continuing to spend and businesses continuing to invest. Overall, it was a pretty positive week for mortgage rates.
Looking ahead, the Middle East conflict and oil prices will continue to be important for the markets. We have several economic reports coming out this week, but Friday’s jobs report will be the big one, with investors watching jobs, unemployment, and wage growth. With all of this going on, expect mortgage rates to remain a little volatile as markets react to the latest news and economic data.
