Weekly Update - 7/31/26
Hello, I hope you had a great week! Here's this week's market update.
Over the past week, economic data painted a mixed picture—inflation seemed to be easing a bit while job growth stayed solid. The Fed’s cautious tone had markets holding their breath, and mortgage rates remained largely unchanged as investors processed the new information. In short, there were only tiny fluctuations instead of any major swings.
Next week we’ll be watching the ISM manufacturing and services reports, as well as the big employment data release. These numbers give us clues about job growth, unemployment and wage trends, all of which can give hints about how mortgage rates might move in the coming days.
